Full of elated anticipation, students departed BOCES for Newark Airport. Shown in the photo below are five of the six team members and two of the three chaperones. Left to right: Mr. Smith, Brittany Fatum, Tyler Wenzel, Nick Martorano, Chris Reffelt, Joe Cramer, and Mrs. Lord.
It was a long wait at the airport, but it allowed everyone to get better acquainted. Note that the gate is conveniently located next to the food court; a sampling of airport cuisine was readily available.
Arrival at hotel which is located directly across the street from the Texas Motor Speedway. Mr. Harris and son Myles had arrived earlier in the day. The day concluded with a tasty barbecue dinner. Tomorrow team Volt Tech will be up early to complete working on solar car and prepare for scruitineering.
